SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter, joint reign with Seleukos I, 294-281 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 15.65 g, 9 h), Seleukeia on the Tigris I. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΒAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and eagle standing right with closed wings in his right; to left, H; below throne, monogram. SC 120.6a. Rare. Somewhat rough and corroded, otherwise, good very fine.
